MCOT is an outreach service that provides treatment and linkage for Harris County residents with mental illness who are unable or unwilling to access routine outpatient clinical services. MCOT services are voluntary.
If there is NOT AN IMMEDIATE THREAT OF DANGER but someone is acting out due to their mental state,
in the City of Houston, call HD’s non-emergency number at 713-884-3131 and request a “Crisis Intervention Trained (CIT) Officer” be dispatched to the location of the incident.
