At Stock Health, we believe in investing in your well-being by partnering with you on your journey to mental wellness. Navigating the healthcare system can be frustrating. As a healthcare professional, I’ve experienced this firsthand – from the lack of available appointments to the limited time spent with physicians, often feeling unseen and unheard. We want to change that.
We strive to provide a safe space where you are truly seen, and your mental health needs are fully heard. We conduct thorough evaluations to ensure we understand your unique situation and can provide the best possible care. We provide same-day access to treatment and medications during acute situations. For same day service majority of clients are seen once and then referred to appropriate clinical programming. If appropriate, Stock Health will make medication adjustments, provide refills, or prescribe new medications until we are able to connect you with a long-term medication provider. We know you have choices when it comes to your mental health care, and we thank you for choosing Stock Health to meet your needs. We also provide ongoing medication management for those that prefer continuity of care and would like to remain with Stock Health. We are open on weekends and will expand hours depending on demand.
I am a double board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist with experience in treating psychiatric conditions such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders, and psychotic disorders. I am committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care that incorporates supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychopharmacology. I also provide workshops on a number of topics such as eating disorders, body image, school/work/life balance, stress management, faith & mental health, and mental health among diverse populations.
Mental illness impacts individuals, families, communities, and systems, therefore I believe in a collaborative and integrative approach to treating psychiatric conditions. Mental health advocacy is also important to me, and I have served as President of the North Carolina Council of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and as a subject matter advisor for “I Live For”, a non-profit organization that aims to reduce cultural stigma associated with psychiatric conditions among youth of color.
