Dr. Alexis Hammond, MD, PhD, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist and founder of EverCentered Psychiatry and Consulting, offering compassionate, patient-centered telehealth care across more than 20 states. Double board-certified in general psychiatry and addiction medicine, she specializes in substance use disorders, reproductive mental health, and a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Dr. Hammond’s approach emphasizes listening first, collaborating closely with patients, and using the most effective, least invasive treatments tailored to each individual’s values and lifestyle. We are a team of dedicated clinicians who have a combined clinical history of 60 yrs between all of us & are capable of providing telehealth and in person services and have flexibility in our scheduling to best meet your needs.

I am a fully telemedicine based practitioner. I have been in private practice since 2018 but have worked in mental health since 2000 in different capacities. I specialize in anxiety and depression and toxic relationship dynamics with women of African and Caribbean descent as well as queer identifying individuals. I am a person centered, strengths based practitioner. A session with me is like talking with an unbiased friend that will hold you accountable and keep you on your identified healing journey.
I believe in self care and model it in how I practice. I work Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7am-8pm.
I live primarily in Ghana, West Africa and also coach others on how to make the escape from America.
I take most insurances and offer out of network billing support.
